Course Description

Any applicant who successfully completes our RADAR Recertification (ADAMSS-402) course will satisfy:

• The training requirements of 46 CFR 11.480(f) for maintaining the validity of an endorsement as Radar Observer.

Course Objectives

A.M.S. uses state of the art modern TRANSAS / Wartsila training simulators. The student will use this equipment to learn and satisfy the required training for recertification of their Radar Certification.

• This course provides the training to the mariner necessary for them to meet STCW, or U.S. Coast Guard or IMO requirements for RADAR Observer Recertification. This course provides students with classroom instruction covering the examination topics identified in 46 CFR, Part 11, Sec. 11.305(C)(4).
• ENTRY STANDARDS: This course is intended for mariners currently holding a Radar Observer certification. They will be asked to provide proof of previous certification.
